It has been way too long since I have posted any new work! Here is a glimpse at a few new watercolor paintings. Some of my favorite moments this summer were spent floating in an mountain lake.
Teacher of the Year
For the Love of Art
I have 3 relief prints on display November 2, 2013 – January 19, 2014 at the Delaware Art Museum in Wilmington, DE.
For the Love of Art is the first exhibition highlighting the artistic mastery and diversity of the art educators of Red Clay School District and includes 43 works by 17 participants. With paint brush, through a camera lens, on paper, in clay, silver, or fabric, these teaching artists present an expressive range of technical skill and creative originality. The range of media and styles displays the versatility of the artists, who not only teach technical skills but also open young eyes to a passion for the joy and discipline of making art.
I am very proud to be a practicing artist AND art teacher!
Second State Print Editions
I have been printing editions of large relief prints at Second State Press in the Crane Arts Building in Philadelphia this week. Some of them will be featured in an exhibit at the Delaware Art Museum this fall…more info to come!
